Social Skills Group (4.5-6 year olds)

Service Description

This group helps preschool aged children learn flexible thinking for understanding the social world. Using the Social Thinking curriculum each session will include reading stories to teach social concepts, playing age-appropriate games, and encouraging teamwork through structured play activities. We will teach social concepts including: thinking thoughts, feeling feelings, following a group plan, thinking with your eyes, keeping our body in the group, and whole body listening. Your child will learn more about greeting others, starting and maintaining a conversation, responding to others, sharing and taking turns, asking for help, offering help, waiting, following directions, and self-awareness/impulse control.
